Sustain UK Holdings is the parent company of a diversified group of businesses operating across solar generation, energy solutions, and utility services throughout the United Kingdom.
The Sustain Group started building energy assets in the UK in 2009. Sustain UK Holdings Limited provides strategic oversight, capital allocation and governance for our growing portfolio of operating companies.
We build and invest in operational companies, then expand them. From residential solar and commercial rooftop systems to battery storage and utility-scale operations, our group companies deliver end-to-end clean energy infrastructure across the UK.
With a disciplined approach to capital deployment and a long-term ownership mindset, we work closely with management teams to build durable, profitable companies that matter.

At Sustain UK Holdings, we’re creating the workforce that will deliver the UK’s net-zero future.

Because we believe the best talent isn’t bought. It’s developed.

Your future starts here.
Sustain UK Holdings is a group of operating companies spanning residential and commercial solar, battery storage, operations and maintenance, and community energy. When you join us, you join a group with a pipeline of work - not a single project.
Apprenticeship training, college day-release, ECS assessments and industry accreditation are paid for by us. You earn while you learn.
Our apprentices become improvers, improvers become installation engineers, engineers become team leaders and surveyors. Your pathway is mapped from day one.
Community energy schemes, school and council rooftops, and the UK's largest residential battery rollout. The work you do cuts bills and carbon for real communities.
Quality tooling, branded vans, proper PPE and the latest battery and monitoring platforms - we do not cut corners on kit or safety.
Every apprentice and graduate is paired with an experienced engineer. Toolbox talks, structured reviews and time built into the programme to pass assessments.
Multi-year rollouts and framework agreements mean stable work, predictable programmes and a future you can plan a mortgage around.
We are a JIB-registered company working with local FE colleges and the National Electrotechnical Training (NET) programme. Our structured entry routes are open to school leavers, career changers and people returning to work.
Our flagship pathway. You work on live solar PV and BESS installations across the UK with a named mentor, and complete your qualification through college day-release.
For people with hands-on experience - roofers, builders, MOT technicians, ex-forces - who want to qualify as solar PV and BESS installers.
Not everyone belongs on a roof. Our office-based apprenticeships cover finance, customer service, surveying support and project administration.
Above National Apprentice Wage from day one, reviewed every six months against your competency matrix.
Our graduate and postgraduate intake sits at the centre of the group's growth: designing installations, modelling energy and revenue, and building the systems that keep a multi-million-pound rollout running.
Rotations across three disciplines, with a permanent home chosen at the end of year one.
Curious, numerate and practical. We hire for aptitude and attitude, not a particular university.
Everyone at Sustain - from apprentice to director - works to a competency matrix with structured training, ongoing CPD and funded accreditation. It is how we keep quality high, sites safe and customers happy.
Safety procedures, safeguarding, data protection, customer service and community-engagement protocols - the foundations of how we work on occupied homes and live sites.
Solar PV, battery storage, electrical safety, working at height, MCS requirements and domestic retrofit - built into every installation role's competency matrix.
We fund and support key personnel through NICEIC, MCS, Retrofit Installer and Retrofit Coordinator qualifications, plus ECS and JIB grading progression.
Ongoing upskilling in renewable technologies, energy efficiency measures and industry best practice, with supplier-led training from our manufacturing partners.
We recruit locally first and build our teams in the communities where we work. It is better for our customers, better for the local economy, and it makes for crews that know each other and look out for each other.
We are recruiting now for the next phase of our residential BESS rollout and commercial pipeline. If a role is not listed, send us your CV anyway - we grow fast and good people create their own position.
Send your CV and a few lines about what you want to achieve. Tell us where you are starting from - we care about where you can get to.
